Yeah, looks like I'll be doing medical animation. The people saw my reel and liked it so they were gonna hire me just off of that. I met with them in person yesterday and they gave me a break down of what they want. It's not a full time position but it's a start. The good thing is that it sounds like there's gonna be work down the road. The thing they wanted me to model is really....really...REALLY basic so they're probably gonna try to build things up slowly. They're located in Center City so getting there's pretty easy (I don't really need to be there in person, I'm just sayin).

Aside from that, I'm thinkin about goin to school for 3 more months and getting certified in AutoCAD by AutoDesk. It looks like most of the 3-d jobs that came up were lookin for people with that more then anything else. Right now I have a day job that kinda sucks. I work from 4:30-1:00 a.m. 40 hours a week. If I can replace that with a decent job (when I say decent I mean something that pays roughly 15-20 an hour) then just doing freelance when it comes up isn't so bad. Plus with AuotCad certification, you can work/live anywhere. I know I can do it. The very first 3-D program I ever used was like AutoCAD. We had to use parts to assemble houses and mechanical stuff. The training is only 3 months long, which pushes back the loan payment, since I would be in school full time. The costs for the whole thing is less then the cost of 1 class at the Art Institute. They have a job placement percentage in the high 90's. The average pay rate when you start is between 15-20 and hour. And the places a lot of these people are working is in the immediate area of the school. Folks aren't traveling that far to find decent jobs.

So yeah....that's what's been circling my mind.............

Hey what's up man, I need a favor see I've been playing The Legend of Zelda Twilight princess lately and I've been pretty impressed by the low poly stuff they have in there so I want to recreate some of the items that are use in the game using 3Dmax. Now I'm trying to start slow, so I want to just do like little things and I need help unwraping things and putting it in phototshop so I can paint it and put it back in 3D max, so I was wondering if you could help me with that by telling me how to do that. I'm using 3D max 8 so I don't know if thats a good thing or if I have to get the next version just let me know something...thanks man.
